Sinners All

And so it looks it is time to celebrate one's sins. A tag started off by blogger Indian Home Maker has resulted in a blogathon of sorts and sinners are all confessing. What are their sins? Every conceivable gender stereotype is being defied and they are proud of it. The prize of course is the tons of comments on your blog and a clearer consience . Interestingly, though the confession is open to both men and women, fewer men are forthcoming and the women are coming out in scores.

Here are a few samples. 

Blogger Maria wants to exchange her wedding trousseau for Macbook  “I can live and die in my jeans. Mom gave me 4-5 suitcases full of expensive sarees/suits for my big fat wedding, which are even now lying wrapped in the packing they came in. Haven't opened those 61 dresses in the last 4 years! With the lakhs mom spent on those clothes, I could have bought a bigger macbook than my present 13 inch or a new LED TV :(“

Blogger Rayparoma says “I have very dark knees and elbows. Result of *too much falling down* because of too much playing with boys** in childhood.”

Blogger Usha Pisharody confesses that she has always been a tomboy and loves sports as much as the next guy - “I am (not *was*, please note) a tomboy. I sometimes do not understand why they have to say “Tom”"Boy”. Lol! Double underscore a variant in the gene? I grew up with boisterous brothers, and their gang. I played gilli danda, lagori, Cricket (Darned good at pace, I was!), Hockey, Basketball, Throwball (Now that is more girly, but I loved that) I still join in the Sports day stuff at school, cheer wildly and jump about, and egg the girls, especially, to go on and out and run and play and all… And watch sports channels. And discuss the latest on the EPL, Champions League, or even the WC, with the class. You need nothing more to bring zip into the grammar classes.

And Masood confesses to enjoying chick flicks and occasional cooking - “ I enjoy watching chick flicks and romantic movies. So doesn’t matter if it is ‘Ten things I hate about you’, ‘She’s all that’, ’27 dresses’ or ‘p.s. I love you’. I like to try my hand at cooking whenever I can. Earlier it was with my mother. Now its with the wife.”
