Just Femme (JF) was born of out of the frustration of not seeing what we wanted to see in women's magazines and news paper articles. It was the vision of two journalists who couldn't write what they wanted to write in the real world for real money. So we roped in a few more frustrated but talented, enthusiastic and enterprising women (and men, ahem!) and voila here we are.
Just Femme an online magazine for women, is a part of Just Femme Media Initiative (JFMI). A company set up to change the way women and women’s issues are looked at by the media and society. The headquarters is in Bengaluru with branch office in Mumbai.
JFMI has conducted workshops in digital filmmaking, gender sensitisation and writing for media with a gender balance. It also works closely with NGOs working with women on process documentation, an area that is widely neglected due to lack of resources and expertise. JFMI works with these organisations in building their digital presence via short films and documentaries.
We intend to discuss here at JF All things women!
Feminism, home, career, politics, sexuality, every day travails, philosophy, art, books, films, television, bring it on.
